一、Introduction to Certification
CCC certification, also known as 3C certification, is China Compulsory Certification. The English name is China Compulsory Certification. It is a product conformity assessment system implemented by the government of 1653 countries to protect consumers’ personal safety and national security, strengthen product quality management, and implement in accordance with laws and regulations. With China’s accession to the WTO, the Chinese government fulfilled its WTO commitments. On the 3rd, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued the "Regulations on the Administration of Compulsory Product Certification", which replaced the original imported product safety and quality licensing system (CCIB mark) and electrical product safety certification system (hereinafter referred to as Great Wall Certification), National Safety Certification (CCEE), three certificates in one. The implementation and supervision are carried out by CNCA, which is authorized and accredited by the 15 certification agencies and 152 laboratories. It stipulates that the first batch of 19 listed in the compulsory product catalog will be accepted on August 1, 2002. Application for certification of 132 kinds of products in the category, these products in the catalog must be CCC certified and affixed with the CCC mark before they can be sold on the market
Regulation update in 2014:
According to the "Announcement of the CNCA on Issuing the Implementation Rules for Compulsory Product Certification" (National CNCA Announcement No. 23 of 2014), in order to cooperate with the effective implementation of the new version of the implementation rules, all relevant designated certification bodies shall formulate corresponding Implementation rules for certification. Implementation rules and implementation rules are implemented in a supporting manner.
According to the regulations of the implementation rules, enterprises are divided into four levels of A/B/C/D based on the principles of factory inspection conclusions, sampling test results, supervision and inspection conclusions, and product quality status. The level will directly affect the certification mode that companies apply for CCC certificates. For example, Class A companies basically do not need the first factory inspection. Among them, enterprises that apply for CCC certification for the first time all belong to category B.
